Chris Wills

Chris Wills founded Student Paths as a junior at the University of St. Thomas in 1997. There he reflected on his not-so-long-ago graduation from high school and all the issues and decisions surrounding that time. As the oldest child, Chris and his family learned many things the hard way, including that he wasn't prepared to make the types of decisions he was being asked to make. Working at first out of his college-house bedroom, Wills did everything from writing the content to hand delivering the program to high schools around the state of Minnesota. Chris loved the idea of starting and running his own business, and felt lucky to have discovered a way to blend his entrepreneurship with his passion for helping students.

Gregg Saunders

Like his founding partner Chris Wills, Gregg Saunders embodies a unique entrepreneurial spirit. During his high school years, Gregg mowed 20 lawns per week and sold Kirby vacuum cleaners door-to-door. When he was 23, Gregg purchased a majority ownership in Student Experience , a company that helps college students find internships related to their field of study. With Gregg's leadership, Student Experience grew from one location to four, and went from serving 35 students per year to 300. Gregg wanted to make a difference for more students at an earlier age. When Chris started as a communications intern at Student Experience , the idea for Student Paths took root and together Gregg and Chris co-founded the organization.
